Synopsis
Curious Theatre Branch presents The Near Future and That Sort of Thing, two new works by Julia Williams at the 29th Annual Rhinoceros Theater Festival.
The Near Future, a series of short scenes that may or may not take place right now, explores the utility of being two people instead of just one. Do you spend too much time in line at the bank? Performing manual labor? Looking for a husband, or other partner to share life’s pleasures and strife? Well, why not have someone else do it? Someone else who is, coincidentally, also you.
That Sort of Thing is a four-character play on the joys and limitations of the nuclear family unit.
