MARCH! depicts the first day of the month of March at an unusual Town Museum where two curators named Charlie bicker about the exhibits which feature the likes of Josef Stalin, Johnny Cash, Charlie Chaplin and Tallulah Bankhead, while Peet the janitor pines for his distant coworker, and visitor Warren Casablanca just tries to eat a sandwich in peace.

  • “Blending fantasy and naturalism, the allusive, word-drunk script has a kind of chatterbox eloquence, and the cast of Curious Theatre Branch’s playful production (also directed by O’Reilly and Williams) put it over with energy and enthusiasm.”—Chicago Reader

Audience Reactions

  • “MARCH! was excellent! I loved the combination of the episodic with the vaudevillian humor. The whole atmosphere of museum was fun and mysterious and fraught with possibilities. I thought that Jenny and Vicki together brought down the house. Their chemistry and timing and charm was extraordinary. Such a treat! Oh, and I loved the live music and sound effects.”—KellyAnn
  • “MARCH!... spills its small museum energy all over the tiny space of Side Project Theatre. The performances, rendering various genuine relationships, depict the endless possibilities and co-dependency of pairs. While comedy treads lightly throughout the small and quirky town museum, the words of Beau O’Reilly and Julia Williams manage to linger with the viewer, carving out a playful but poignant space.”—Margaret
