Curious Theatre Branch | Spring 2009

"...as fine a Pinter revival as you could hope to get, a confident and intelligent staging that nails Pinter's complex musicality, but more importantly boasts three superb performances that demand to be seen."—Newcity
"...spellbinding performances.... whimsically threatening and brilliantly absurd.... Curious Theatre Branch's The Caretaker is a uniquely profound piece of delicate and intense theater."—Steadstyle Chicago ►More

Fresh and ferocious since their sold-out reunion show that closed the 2009 Rhinoceros Theater Festival, Maestro Subgum & the Whole returns for its second concert this year at the 400-seat SAIC Ballroom on Sunday, June 7th. Joining Lefty Fizzle, Jenny the Magnifire, Mickey da Lip, Sister Kate, Clem of the Bogs, et al, is Ira Glass, host of NPR's This American Life and veteran of two hard-fought Radio vs. Theatre smackdowns opposite Lefty's alter ego, Beau O'Reilly.
